What travel means to me

It means…

…experiencing someone else's way of life.

…seeing life from a different perspective.

…proving to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to.

...getting out of my comfort zone.

…fulfilling my destiny as I believe that God placed this desire in me.

…seeing the beauty that was created for our enjoyment.

…meeting my Maker in the loneliest of places and knowing that He is with me wherever I go.

…telling stories to others. Stories that will hopefully inspire them to also go out and see for themselves.

…Freedom.

…I get to see how privileged I am to have been born in such a beautiful country.

…being reminded that we are different yet the same in so many ways.

…that I carry my African-ness with pride. I introduce Africa to so many people who may have never heard about our incredible continent.

…keeping my eyes open. Looking for opportunities and things that work so that I can take them back home to help improve dire circumstances.

…an opportunity to reflect, strategize and do some planning for how I will tackle this life thing going forward.

…making new friends while strengthening old bonds.

…discovering and getting to know my authentic self.
